Cocchi bottle
Instore price: £22.95

Traditionally drunk on its own over ice but will be useful in classic cocktails such as the Negroni.

After marrying a local barmaid in Asti just outside of Turin, Giulio Cocchi changed his vocation from pastry chef to creating wines and spirits in 1891. By 1913 he had set up a string of seven bars where he could sell his drinks.
One of two AOC protected vermouths, Torino uses Moscato wine as its base, which is then infused with exotic botanicals. A full flavoured vermouth, with singed orange peel and faint dandelion and burdock on the nose. A bitter, earthy character balanced by sweet notes of orange zest and liquorice.
